MTV's Legally Blonde, John Tartaglia Among Daytime Emmy Nominees

MTV's telecast of the Broadway musical Legally Blonde has been nominated for a pair of 2008 Daytime Emmy Awards. The show was named in the categories Outstanding Special Class Special where its competition includes two parades and Outstanding Special Class Directing.

Broadway actor John Tartaglia Avenue Q and the forthcoming Shrek drew a nomination for Outstanding Performer in a Children's Series for Johnny and the Sprites, one of four nominations the Disney Channel show received. Tartaglia will be competing against Bindi Irwin Bindi the Jungle Girl, Jack Hanna Jack Hanna's Into the Wild, Kevin Clash Elmo in Sesame Street and Rachel Coleman Signing Time!.

The 35th annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be presented on June 20 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and broadcast live on ABC.
